Nebraska
Aim Adventures Manages The Best Hunting & Fishing The World Has To Offer
Nebraska has become a major player when it comes to hunting and fishing; long noted for top rated waterfowl and Pheasant hunting, it also has big game hunting.

  • Big Game Hunting

An increase in the Whitetail population has almost forced the increase in hunting. Antlerless hunting has become popular and, according to the NPGC the harvest was larger than the buck harvest in 2010. A good number of Mule Deer inhabit the state and although not the "trophies" other states may have, the herds are increasing in age and size.

Antelope permits are available in limited numbers and most are found on private land.

Elk populations are also on the increase; but limited numbers of tags are normally purchased by residents prior to nonresident application dates. There are landowner permits available in limited quantities.

Big Horn Sheep have been reintroduced although no permits were allowed in 2010; but auction revenues in the past have assisted in their management.

  • Wingshooting & Waterfowl

The Upland Bird hunting in Nebraska is very good. Pheasant is the top bird although Dove, Quail, Woodcock, Grouse and Partridge are there for the taking. Contact us for some great lodges.

Nebraska is a great state to come for very good waterfowl hunting. Early season Dark Geese and Teal are offered in addition to regular season species of Ducks and Geese that migrate through and nest in the state. A conservation season for White Geese runs February through April with no bag or possession limits.

  • Fishing

The Platte River and its tributaries along with many lakes, reservoirs and other rivers and creeks in the sate offer a variety of opportunities to fish. Species include Trout, Catfish, Walleye, Perch, Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass. Don't count Nebraska out when looking for a place to fish; combined with an upland bird hunt makes for a complete trip.
